Lea Schelling is a gastronomic scientist and trained chef who next to her work in fine dining kitchens, discovered a new medium - clay.

Her passion for well curated tables and tablescapes translated perfectly into creating ceramic pieces for everyday use as well as for purely aesthetic purposes.

Lea finds beauty in discovering new forms through the risk and necessity of letting go.

Beurre” means butter in French. To Lea it also means flavour, balance and comfort and is an ingredient she would not want to miss. Through Studio Beurre she is trying to link both worlds - food and ceramics.
